THE CHALLENGE
Design a set of icon animations that can be displayed on a website and get people interested in the potential of motion design. The final animations must be compatible with lottie files for seamless display.

✦ ASSET CONSTRUCTION
With a quick turnaround timeframe, there was very little time for preproduction work. I jumped directly into creating simple, minimalistic designs for approval with a heavy focus on strong shapes and forms that would be legible even from a distance.
✦ Animation
After completing my designs in illustrator, I transferred them to After Effects for animation. Lottie files are extremely sensitive to layer masks, expressions, effects, and plug-ins so I had to be very deliberate and decisive with my animations to get them in a functional.
